Some advice a mother gave to her daughter on her wedding day was, “Remember your friends.” The daughter thought that was strange advice on the day she was going to marry her best friend. What she learned in later years was that her friends were often the ones who kept her marriage strong, for they were the ones who gave her advice, who encouraged her, who were there to lend a helping hand, drive her kids in the carpool and bring over dinner when things were hard. Her friendships not only filled her heart but helped her marriage.
Family is precious and friendships are special. Take care of each one.
There is no garden so complete, but roses make the place more sweet; there is no life so rich and rare, but one more friend can enter there.
